The project is very interesting, we did a lot of interesting activities, but the most important thing was that we worked remotely in pandemic conditions. Students ’engagement was high, they wrote“ My School Ideal, ”expressed their opinions, and drew pictures. The role of the student in school life is important and we need to look at the events through their eyes and evaluate them.

ÇOCUK GÖZÜYLE BAK…
İlk insanın yaratılışından günümüze kadar insanoğlu bu hayatta hep bir amaç uğruna yaşam savaşı vermektedir. Kendi varlığını ikame ettirebilmek ve bunu diğer insanlara gösterebilmek adına sürekli bir devinim içerisindedir. Doğanın yaratılışında var olan bu döngü tüm canlılar içinde vardır aslında.
Ancak Ademoğlunun bu yaşam serüveni her zaman masum olamıyor. Savaşlar, katliamlar, doğaya karşı işlenen suçlar, bereketli topraklara yapılan ihanetler, insan vucuduna yapılan hayasız saldırılar bunlara en bariz örneklerdir. İnsanın kendini varedebilme hırs ve kabileyeti, acımasızca davranışlara yönelmesinde en büyük etken. Açgözlülük, cömertsizlik, vefasızlık duyguları ile nefsine yenik düşen insanoğlu büyüdükçe masumiyetini de kaybeden bir varlık oluveriyor.
Kanuni Sultan Süleymanın oğlu Şehzade Mustafa’ya bir sözü vardır: “ Sen büyüdükçe masumiyetimiz kayboluyor, Mustafam.”
İnsan büyüdükçe masumiyetini kaybediyor. Oysa çocukken öylemiydi. En büyük acımız dizimizdeki kanayan yaralarımız veya dondurmamızın eriyip yere düşmesiydi.
Peki ya düşlerimiz. Sonsuz düşlerimiz vardı çocukken. Uçakları yakalamak için tarlarlarda koşan çocuklardık biz. Ya da o uçaktaki kaptan amca bizi görür mü acaba diye el sallayan masumlardık.
Biz büyüdük ve masumiyetimiz kayboldu.
Geri getiremez miyiz o günleri ?
Elbette mümkün.
Çocuk gözüyle bakabilmek… İnsana, doğaya, hayvana kısaca canlıya dair ne varsa Çocuk Gözüyle Bakabilmek… Bir çocuğun gözlerine bakıp çocukluğumuzu düşünmek. Masumane geçmişimizde ne varsa. Kibirden, cimrilikten, hayasızlıktan arınıp çocuk gibi düşünmek ve düşlemek. Kendi özümüze dönmek. Bir an durup içimizin derinliklerinde saklı kalan çocukluğumuza bakabilmek. Ve bunu hayat felsefemiz yapabilmek.
Ruhlarımızdaki çocukluğu yakalayabilmek, onlar gibi düşünüp onların gözüyle hayata bakabilmek kötülüklerden arındıracaktır. Çocuk gözüyle bakabilen insan mutluluğu yakalayabilen insandır. Hayata çocuk gözüyle bakabilmek dileğiyle…

ENGLISH VERSION OF THE PROJECT
- LOOK THROUH THE CHILDREN’S EYESABOUT PROJECTThe aim of this project is to provide teachers with the ability to understand the children's perspective and to see the events through their eyes as a result of various activities and pedagogical practices. In this way, teachers will be able to empathize about how children will feel and think in their lessons and activities, both inside and outside the school. Thanks to this awareness, teachers will gain the ability to attract more students to lessons and activities, to establish better and lasting teaching environments, and most importantly, to understand pedagogically what does not hurt them and what supports them.AIMSIn this project;- Developing teachers' comprehension skills to see from a child's perspective,- Reductions in school absenteeism and increase loving school and lessons,- Decrease in the problems in classroom management by the teachers,- Increase in the participation in lessons by even the students who are hesitant or shy,- Students will be more sensitive to their teachers,- Teachers will more sensitive to students,- Increased positive interaction between teachers and students,- Developing good educational practices,- Improving the ability to empathize both students and teachers,- To improve cooperation between schools, parents, students and teachersWORKING PROCESNOVEMBER: “WISHING BOX”First of all, project partners introduce the project in their own schools. A wish box is created. The students write their dreams, wishes or uncomfortable issues about the school and their education on a piece of paper without writing their names. For the box, a corner is prepared which each student can see it, and a banner with explanations about the box is prepared on the back wall of the box. Students read this banner and understand the purpose of the box. At the end of two weeks, the box is opened and a report is produced with the help of school guidance teachers or school psychological counselling teachers. At the end of November, the school teachers are informed about the wish box. A new application is developed at the school about the most complaints or wishes coming out of the wish box. So the students will feel valuable.DECEMBER: “IDEAL SCHOOL”In our school, painting and composition competitions about “My Ideal School” is organized in cooperation with Native Language and Visual Arts teachers. The competition is announced at the end of November. Until mid-December, students continue to bring their works. The assessments are completed in the second half of December. 1st, 2nd and 3rd students are given small gifts. On the last days of the month, there will be an exhibition of paintings taking part in the competition. In addition, the compositions coming from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd will be enlarged and printed and exhibited in this exhibition and the other teachers and students will read. If possible, the exhibition will not be removed for 2 days and so will be accessible to all students. Teachers who see and examine pictures and read the compositions will have the opportunity to understand children's perspectives. Students who examine paintings and read compositions will develop their understanding peer perspective and empathy skills.JANUARY: “… HOW DID YOU FEEL, … WHAT WOULD YOU DO?”A questionnaire will be prepared with the help of guidance teacher or psychological counsellor.. The students will have empathy with their teachers and their families while answering these questions, and the teachers will learn the children's point of view while reading the students' answers. The questions might be like below;- If you were a teacher, first of all, in class, in school, what would you change?- Give one example of what a good family should do about their child's education and one they should not do.- What behavior do you think the students should improve, change or behave, for lessons will be more productive and enjoyable?And a questionnaire containing such questions is formed and at the end of January, the questionnaires are evaluated and reported and forwarded to school teachers. Teachers read this report and try to capture the child's perspective.FEBRUARY: “BE A STUDENT DURING ONE LESSON”In February, the teachers will be students in a classroom during one lesson hour and sit on hard desk during 40 minutes at the back side of the classroom, in another teacher’s class. He will certainly want to be treated the same way like the students are treated. They will also try to understand the teacher through the eyes of the children. They will then report their feelings and experiences to the other teachers of the school and report on their gains in understanding the students' perspective.MARCH: “BE A TEACHER DURING ONE LESSON”Teachers will ask volunteer students to become teachers in a classroom and imitate themselves. Students will be asked to reflect on the behaviors of their teachers rather than teaching the topic. The teacher will have the opportunity to look at himself /herself with a third eye, that’s to say with children’s eyes. He/she can evaluate his / her own reflection and evaluate his / her behaviors to the students. He will also have the opportunity to understand how an ordinary behavior manifests in the eyes of the child. At the end of the activity, the gains and observations will be reported and presented to the other teachers in the school.APRIL: “ENTERTAINING EXPERIMENTS COMPETITION ”As part of the “23th April Children Day” events, volunteer parents and children will compete in the schoolyard with funny experiments or interesting experiments. In the meantime, students' attitudes towards their families and results of winning and losing reactions will be observed. And then these observations will be reported.MAY: “A CHILD IN THE UNIVERSE ”A book…A booklet entitled “A Child in the Universe” will be created. First of all, the project will be presented at the beginning of the booklet. Afterwards, the booklet will be prepared in the form of title, purpose, presentation, pictures, perspective and experiences of the activities and cross-sections of the reports. This booklet will be sent or take to 10 schools which are the closest to the school. In this way, it will be ensured that other schools are aware of the achievements of the project. In addition, the booklet created will be shared on our eTwinning pages and on the Twinspace page of the project. A seminar can be prepared and given by the guidance or counselor teachers for the parents if the school see it necessary. Each month, news will be shared with social or other medias about the activities of the project if the member teachers have this oppurtunity.EXPECTED RESULTSAt the end of the project, the participating teachers will gain the ability to understand and make sense from the eyes of the children and will provide better learning environments for the students, will be able to interact more positively with them, both students and teachers will develop their empathy skills, students will come to school more willingly and they will develop more positive attitudes towards school, teachers, parents and lessons. .
